Abstract

219,476. Delmar, C., and Smith, C. W. July 9, 1923. Channels in springs. - Lubricant is supplied to grooves 2 on the undersides of the leaves 1 of a spring from a cup 3 screwed on the upper end of a central solid bolt 4 through two holes 5 in the base of the cup which register with two holes 6 a small distance on either side of the central bolt hole. The holes 6 extend through all but the lower leaf and communicate with the grooves 2. Absorbent material is placed in the holes 5, 6. A washer 10 is interposed between the cup and the upper leaf.
