219,249. Beatty, R. J. H., and Greaves, H. F. Jan. 29,1924. Collapsable metal barrels.- A collapsable metal barrel &c. comprises two end sections 8 and a middle section 13, the joints being constituted by rings 11, 14 preferably of channel section secured together by bolts and nuts, a washer 15 being provided between the mating surfaces. One edge of the channel ring 14 is arranged to be on the inside of the section 13 and the ends of the sections 8 are arranged to project into the middle section 13. The parts may when collapsed be nested and held in place by bolts passed through the .holes in the rings. More than one intermediate section may be used or such sections may be omitted; in this case the end of one section may in some cases project within the end of the other. The nested parts of barrels of different sizes may be nested inside each other.
