Abstract
Krypton and xenon are separated from air by combining with an air-liquefying apparatus of known type a vessel containing adsorptive material, such as carbon or silica, maintained at a suitable low temperature by the passage therethrough of vaporized oxygen, which is stated to contain appreciable quantities of the rare gases. The residue resulting from the vaporization of oxygen may be afterwards vaporized, and its content of krypton and xenon separated in the same way.
