Abstract
In the recovery of hydrocarbons from gas mixtures highly saturated with water vapour, the gases are heated prior to the adsorption to such a temperature that the relative humidity is reduced below 90 per cent, preferably below 70 per cent. The heating may be effected by the addition of a portion of the gas under treatment, or of other gases, which has been heated to a temperature above the required temperature. When the gas to be treated requires to be cooled before treatment, the reheating may be effected by passing the gas through a number of coolers in parallel from one or more of which the cooling agent is shut off, and then reuniting the streams.
