Abstract

214,225. Ditmar, R. April 9, 1923, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Fabrics composed of fibres agglutinated by adhesives.-A loose fleece or web of cellulose, such as mercerized cotton felt, cellulose wad, is soaked in rubber &c. latex, whereupon the water is absorbed into the fibres and the rubber &c. deposited. The water is subsequently expressed and the mass is dried. The latex may be concentrated and may have sulphur, fillers such as cement, gypsum, &c. added t'o it, and the product may be vulcanized. The material is applicable as a substitute for leather, linoleum, &c., or for electric insulation.
