Operating clutches.-Means for throwing out of gear the driving mechanism 13 of a rotary cutterbar 12 comprise two coaxial bevel wheels 15, 16 having lengthened hubs 20, 21, the outer 21 having slidable, but not rotatable, thereon, a clutch 23 adapted to co-operate with the wheel 16 and having dogs 24 thereon for engaging bosses on the wheel 16 for this purpose. The clutch 23 is operated by a yoke 25 having pivots 26 and shoes 27 engaging a groove in the clutch 23. The head 29 engages an eccentrically mounted cam 30 rotated by a lever 31 to operate the clutch. The positions of the hubs 20, 21 may be interchanged.
