Multiple-stage pumps; casings.-Two duplex low-pressure stages a in parallel having four inlets n and two outlets e deliver through valves o, p to a duplex intermediate stage b which delivers by a pipe g to a high-pressure stage c. Fluid from the low-pressure stage can be passed direct to the high-pressure stage by way of valves t, s and the intermediate stage may be cut out. Draw-off pipes l, m are provided in the delivery of the low and intermediate stages.
