Abstract

297,113. Siemens - Schuckertwerke Akt.-Ges. Sept. 16, 1927, [Convention date]. Multi-stage pumps; pumping-machines. -The air-pump of a portable vacuum-cleaning apparatus comprises two impellers 14, 16 in series and arranged back to back. They are separated by a partition which extends towards and may reach to the shaft. Each stage has a volute chamber 15, 17 and the first stage volute is connected to the inlet eye of the second stage by a passage 18. The second stage impeller is of smaller diameter than the other.
