Abstract

212,024. Sargeant, D. W. Jan. 6, 1923. Collapsable tables, of the type in which the legs and struts may be folded to lie within the thickness of the table top are provided with folding tops. As shown, a pair of top frames 10 are connected by a central transverse hinge, and each frame has a pair of legs 12 at each end, the central pairs, adjacent to the transverse hinge, being connected together. The members of each pair of legs are hinged together at the upper inner edge 12a, and each leg is pivoted to the top frame, the pair being spread at the lower end when in use by a knuckle-jointed strut 13, and stiffened by hinged struts 14 connected to the top frame.
