Abstract

211,916. Adam, W. O. S. Oct. 30, 1922. Bottle-emptying apparatus.- A stopper 2 for the bottle 1 has fixed to it a pouring tube 4 with a lateral extension 4<a> to which is fixed a glass measuring-vessel 5 communicating with a spout 11 which projects parallel with the measuring-vessel but at the opposite side of the tube 4. At the end of the tube 4<a> are apertures 6 and an air-tube 12 passes from the spout into the interior of the bottle. When held as shown the measuring-vessel fills, and when the required quantity, which may be shown by graduations, is obtained the bottle is turned through 180‹ to deliver this quantity through the spout. The measuring-vessel is detachably mounted so that it may be removed for cleaning.
