Abstract
628,091. Measured quantities, delivering. BONNAUD, H. M. Sept. 10, 1947, No. 24908. [Class 106(v)] A device attachable to the mouth of a bottle for pouring a predetermined measured quantity of liquid therefrom, of the type in which liquid from the bottle is received into a chamber by inverting the bottle and then discharged by reverting the bottle to its normal upright position, comprises a transparent hollow member a forming a measuring chamber b which is closed at one end by a cap c, to which is axially attached one end of a tube d that passes through the chamber and extends through a second cap e fitted on the other end of the hollow member a, the said tube d projecting beyond the second cap e and having mounted on said projecting part a ferrule f and a resilient tapered sleeve g encasing the ferrule, a nut h being provided at this projecting end of the tube d for holding all the aforesaid elements together as one component attachable by means of the adaptation of the said risilient sleeve g to the mouth of a bottle i, which when inverted fills the chamber through the axial tube. The tube d is connected to the measuring chamber through a duct k in the cap c. A discharge spout n is provided in the cap c.
