Looking nuts.-A nut is locked by means of a bevelled circular washer of the type having a tapered filler-wall 3 which is forced into a pear-shaped or oval bolt-hole against the bolt threads. The bevelled edge 5 of the washer is hammered up into engagement with a facet of the nut to lock it, as shown in Fig. 1.
