Casings; protecting covers; closure members.- A vertical water tap comprises a three-branch shell 1 of enamelled iron, into which a member 3 carrying the valve seating is screwed at 3<a>. A member 7 which carries the stuffing-box for the spindle 8 screws into the member 3, and is provided with an internal thread to receive the screwed spindle. A lateral outlet 5 is provided in the member 3 to allow water to pass into the shell 1, from which it is discharged at the outlet 10. A cup-shaped enamelled-iron handle 11 is adapted to cover the stuffing-box.
