Centrifugal switches.-In centrifugal governors of the type in which a spring f carried at the periphery of a rotating disc r contacts with an electric contact k', the latter is adjusted during running by gearing z<1>, z<2> from an electric motor m to which the operating current is conveyed by slip rings. In a modification, the shaft z carries a friction disc contacting with the disc r and a disc loose on the shaft thereof. By restraining the loose disc, the friction disc is rotated and the contact adjusted.
