Abstract
860,605. Mechanical switches, without quickaction. COMPTOMETER CORPORATION. June 25, 1958 [July 9, 1957], No. 20349/58. Class 38 (5). [Also in Group XIX] A calculating-machine (see Group XIX) has switches associated with its numeral wheels for data-transmission purposes. During the entry of a number, the numeral wheels are advanced correspondingly under the control of keys, the power for the rotation of the wheels being derived either from the depression of the keys or from a motor. Each numeral wheel 60, Figs. 4 and 6, carries an insulating disc 86 to which is secured eccentrically a contact-element 88 having contact-points 96, 98 which respectively co-operate with an inner ring contact 100 and ten contacts 102. The contacts 100 and 102 are carried by a fixed insulating disc 84. Thus for each position of the wheel, the contact 100 is connected to a corresponding one of the contacts 102.
