Abstract

210,453. Daimler-Motoren-Ges. Jan. 27, 1923, [Convention date]. Cylinders receiving liquid fuel.-In apparatus for supplying compressed air for the injection of fuel a shut-off valve f and relief valve g are provided in a pipe line e, e<1> which communicates with a reservoir a charged by a pump d. The valves are simultaneously operated by cams on a control shaft k, which also controls an electric starter switch n. An arm m on the control shaft k moves over a quadrant l, three locking positions being provided, corresponding respectively to stopping, starting and normal running. In the first position the valve f is shut and valve g open; in the second position the starter switch n is operated, and in the third position the valve f is open, and valve g closed. A non-return valve c is provided in the pipe line b between the reservoir a and compressor d.
