Abstract

209,778. Podmore, H. June 7, 1923. Composition fuel.-In making firelighters consisting of naphthalene, sawdust, resin and plaster of Paris two mixtures of sawdust and naphthalene, and resin and plaster of Paris, respectively, are separately heated, the latter mixture then being added to the former in such proportions that 90 to 98 per cent of the resulting composition consists of sawdust and naphthalene. The entire mixture is boiled and then run into moulds, no pressure being necessary.
