Lever lids.-The dished lid of a white-lead can or keg is secured in place after insertion by means of a slight annular outward bulge J formed in the lid flange and in the adjacent wall of the vessel. The bulging is produced by any suitable means, such as a swaging machine. After removal the lid can be replaced to keep the unused contents free from dust.
