Jackets and covers.-A protective band fitted between the cover and tube of a pneumatic tyre comprises a mesh of interlaced cylindrical wire spirals A lying transversely of the tyre, circumferential endless wires B being threaded through the mesh at both edges. The mesh is covered with rubber on both sides and exterior layers of canvas may be added.
