Jackets and covers.-Protection bands for use inside pneumatic tyres are formed by providing two or more bands of vulcanized rubber or similar resilient material, stretching some of the bands and firmly securing the stretched bands to the unstretched or free bands. The stretched layers on shrinking cause a bent tube to be formed the ends of which are secured together in the usual manner. The band may be used inside tyres where the tube is separate from the case or where the case is formed to be itself airtight and to constitute the tyre.
