Flooring blocks.-In paving- blocks, stair treads, and the like, tubes 1 of relatively hard material are embedded in the upper surface and a wooden filling 3 is provided in each tube. The tubes project slightly above the upper surface and each may be secured by a transverse peg 4. If desired, the filling 3 may form part of the block, an annular recess being provided to receive the tube.
