Abstract
208,167. Meyeringh, D. J., and Wijnand, P. C. Dec. 8, 1922, [Convention date]. Transparencies. - Plantation rubber in crÛpe or sheet form, with or without an admixture of gutta percha, fillers, sulphur, accelerators, &c., is treated with a solution of colouring matter in a solvent for rubber whereby it is coloured throughout. The treated rubber after drying may be again rolled, and embossed by passing it between engraved rollers; and it may be vulcanized by heat, actinic rays, &c. By keeping the proportion of colouring matter low, a substitute for window-glass is obtained.
