Abstract

An accelerator for use in the vulcanization of rubber is obtained by combining one molecular proportion of a p-nitrosoalkylarylamine as p-nitrosodimethylaniline, with two molecular proportions of b -naphthol. The substances may be ground together, or merely mixed and incorporated with the rubber on the rolls. Specification 4263/14, [Class 70, India-rubber &c.], is referred to.
