208,054. McCormick, W. A. Feb. 16, 1923. Casings; outlets; leakage, detecting.- To ascertain if the pipe supplying water to a tap, or the tap itself, is leaky, the tap is provided with a funnel a on the outlet, or b on the body. In the latter case a screw plug c is also provided. The tap is turned halfround as a whole in the pipe and the funnel then filled with water, whereupon any leakage in the pipe or stop valve is shown by a variation of level in the funnel.
