Inking-apparatus ; stencilling.-An inking-device for the cylinders of rotary duplicating-apparatus comprises a central ink container consisting of an ink tube 5 and a concentric sleeve 4 provided with registering slots 9, 9<1>, Fig. 5, for opening and closing the container and a set of distributing-rollers 12, 13, 14 for transferring ink to the usual strainer 1, the rollers 13, 14 being carried in pivoted spring-controlled arms 18, 22 respectively to ensure contact of the rollers with each other and with the strainer 1. The supply of ink is regulated by adjusting the rollers 12 relatively to the container 4, 5, by means of screws 16, 17, Fig. 2. The device is shown applied to the duplicating-apparatus described in Specification 196,567, the strainer 1 being carried by rings 2, 2<1> fixed by discs 3, 3<1> rotatably mounted on the sleeve 4 which is secured against rotation. The distributing-rollers 12, 13, 14 are carried by brackets 11 hung on the sleeve 4. The arms 18, 22 are pivoted at 19 and 23 respectively. The tube 5 has a removable plug 7 for cleaning, and is withdrawn by a knob 8 for filling purposes. The ink . is supplied through the slot 9, the position of which is indicated by a hand 10 attached to the knob 8.
