591,256. Stencilling-machines. ELLAM, F. May 4, 1945, No. 11371. [Class 100 (ii)] Inking apparatus.-The perforated drum 10 of a rotary stencil duplicator is fitted internally with an ink trough 15 which is carried by arms 14 pivoted concentrically to the drum, and which is adapted to be moved from the inoperative position 15 to the operative position 15a by means of a lever 18 controlled by stops 19, 20, or to be moved frictionally on rotation of the drum 10 against the action of a spring or gravity return mechanism. The trough is closed except at the side which fits closely against the cylinder. The edge 17 of the trough may fit closely so as to act as an ink doctor, or this edge may be fitted with a spring- pressed bar for the same purpose.
