205,384. Valter, P. Dec. 2, 1922. Indicators actualted by floats. - In water - level gauges for steam boilers which are at a height where gauge-glass cannot be easily read a rod K, enclosed in a tube E, has a float at each end, the upper float H being partially submerged in water in a chamber B communicating with the boiler, and the lower float J being wholly submerged in mercury in a chamber G. A datum mark P on the rod is visible through a gauge glass F, readable from the firing floor, and is read in conjunction with pointers L indicating the normal water level.
