Reinforced concrete.- Concrete road foundations are reinforced bv sheets of electrically - welded wire fabric in which the longitudinal wires near each edge are more widely spaced than the others, so that adjacent sheets may be overlapped with their longitudinal wires alternating to produce a continuous uniform mesh. In the form shown, the second and fourth wires are omitted from each edge of both sheets; in a modification, the third and sixth wires are omitted from the edges of one sheet, and the second, third, fifth and sixth wires from the edges of the overlapping sheet.
