Abstract

203,801. Spearing, A. H. June 16, 1922. Dampers for controlling superheaters.-A boiler has an economizer 7 in the uptake and a superheater 8 on a compartment which is accessible from outside the boiler and which communicates at opposite ends with the combustion chamber 6 and the uptake 9, dampers 14, 15 being provided for isolating the compartment to enable the superheater to be repaired while the boiler is in use. The top of the superheater compartment is closed by a hinged cover 16.
