Abstract

A pressure gauge which may be continuously mounted on the valve stem of a tyre includes an airtight variable volume enclosure formed e.g. by a diaphragm 70 or a piston, means 74 to release pressurized gas from the tyre into the enclosure which expands and moves an indicator 40, 48 an amount proportional to the pressure of the gas in the tube, and means 68 for connecting a source of pressure to the tyre. The indicating means comprise a band 48 on piston 82 and a scale on transparent wall 50. Other embodiments are described. <IMAGE>
