Abstract

201,275. Anderson, W. J. May 9, 1922. Liquids, treating with; processes, compound. -Textile fabrics, garments, &c. are treated after cleaning and, or, dyeing, and before pressing with an aqueous solution of common salt and a small quantity of pure sulphuric acid, the surplus liquid being expressed subsequently and the fabric being allowed to dry. The solution may be in the proportion of about 1 1/2 oz common salt and 5 c.c. pure concentrated sulphuric acid to one gallon of water. The treatment restores the original pile of the fabric.
