Wire.-Leading-in wires for electric lamps. vacuum tubes &c. comprise a centre zone having a high percentage of iron, an intermediate zone having a high percentage of nickel, and an outer zone having a high percentage of copper. In place of nickel, other metals may be used that are capable of alloying with the inner and outer metals.
