Yielding-toothed wheels.-In a locomotive in which the prime mover consists of oppositely disposed engines having a crank shaft or shafts geared to an auxiliary shaft 50 provided with cranks 51 coupled to the cranks of the main driving,wheels, the crank shaft 36 has toothed wheels 47 which engage a toothed rim 49 connected by half-round bearings 57 and initiallystressed tangential springs 56 to an inner portion 55 on the shafts 50, the bearings and springs being retained by rings 61 bolted to opposite sides of the rim.
