Abstract

To reduce the number of separate parts and increase manufacturing tolerances in a magnetic trip mechanism comprising a coil former (2) within which an armature (15) is axially movable and is resiliently urged away from a core (12) projecting into the coil former from one end, and a magnetic yoke, which consists of a U-shaped member (5) and a further member (6) closing the open end of the U-shaped member, the core (12) is formed integrally with one yoke member (5), cooperating abutments (18, 19) limiting outward movement of the armature are formed integrally with the armature and the coil former respectively, and the coil former has a resilient flange 21 retaining it against an inner face of the yoke. <IMAGE>
