Abstract

The electric circuit breaker has an electromagnet with a fixed part and a moving part, the two parts made of integral metal. The breaker, has a set of contacts actuated by a slide which is driven by a rocker actuated by a rod. This rod is connected to the armature of the electromagnet. The fixed core and the armature are made from a solid rectangular piece of metal, the fixed core being U-shaped and having a sloping face, to provide one face of the air gap of the magnetic circuit. The armature also has a sloping face for the air gap and is pivoted about a spindle.
