Abstract

The electromagnetic trip device (1) consists of a coil yoke (2) which is bent in a U-shape. Mounted on the U-web of the coil yoke (2) is a magnetic core (3) which holds the coil windings (4). A hinged armature (6) is pivotably supported at the rotation point (5) on one limb of the coil yoke (2). When the coil winding (4) which is arranged around the magnetic core (3) is excited, the hinged armature (6) is attracted and influences a latching element (9) as well as a moving contact piece (11). In order to achieve a high disconnection performance, the hinged armature (6) is directly connected to the moving contact piece (11) by means of a hinged lever (12). The hinged lever (12) is constructed as a clip which is in the form of a wire and is supported on the one hand in a hook-like eye (13) of the hinged armature (6) and on the other hand in holes in the contact piece (11). <IMAGE>
