Holders for sliding windows. -Sliding sashes are held in any position by angle-glates 18 19, pivoted by parallel links 23 to fixed plates 21, 22 on each side of the window, and pressed against the edges of the window by means of an eccentric device. 31 mounted on a spindle 24 and operated by a handle 28 or key. The eccentric rotates in a banjo-shaped piece 32, connected to the angle-plate 13 through a rod 34 and spring 33, and moved across the dead centre into locking position.
