Abstract

Coating materials in long lengths. - The thread is passed through a slot 27 in the cover of a container 3 into contact with a grooved disc 10 driven by a ratchet and wheel 5. The length of the arc of contact may be regulated by adjusting the height of a feed roller or of a take-off thread guide. The groove 11 may contain a couple of rings 12 which coat the sides and top of the thread. The groove is slightly V-shaped.
