Abstract

196,077. Welford, C. G., and Welford & Son, Ltd., G. Jan. 13, 1922. Stoppers with valves.-A closure for the aperture of a fluid-container comprises a disc 15 :adapted to be moved edgewise across the aperture .and held by a spring-pressed washer 22 against a flange 13 formed in a casing 10, 11 surrounding the aperture, the outer member 10 of the casing being slotted at 14 for the passage of the disc. The disc is pivoted at 16 to the flange 13 and is formed with a thumb-piece 20 and an annular wedge-like depression 19 which engages the flange 13 to effect the closure. The disc 15 is locked in the closed position by the engagement of a projection 18 thereon with a recess 17 in the member 10.
