Abstract

Hot-blast s,toves.-In a gas producer the blast is heated td a temperature of about 800‹ C. so that the residues are discharged in a molten state and the carbon entirely converted to carbon monoxide. The blast is heated by passage through stoves k and m in which a portion of the gases leaving the producer A are burnt by burners h in the combustion space, i to heat tubes k<1> and m<1> through which the air passes to the tuyeres c.
