194,065. Ashby, F., (trading as Ashby & Co., F.). Jan. 11, 1922. Luggage-carriers for cycles &c. have a separately-formed angular bearing-plate 4, Figs. 1 and 2. engaging against the rear stays 6 of the cycle, and having an horizontal part overlapping, or overlapped by, the carrier platform 1 and permanently and rigidly attached thereto by one or more tongues 10 upon the one part adapted to be passed through one or more slots 9 in the other part and bent or clenched over. The sides of the platform 1 and bearing-plate 4 are formed with depending flanges 3, 8, which bear against one another and are secured together by means of indentations 11, by flanged perforations or eyelets pressed through the sheet-metal, or by tongues on one flange bent around the edge of the other flange or pressed through slots therein and bent over.
