Abstract
193,664. Collin, A., and Jeunehomme, D. Feb. 16, 1922. Foundry ladles.-A suspended casting ladle is surrounded by a belt 2 spaced from the ladle so as to provide an air passage 33 for cooling the belt and the journals 1. The tipping mechanism comprises a gear wheel 3 keyed to the journal 1 and operated by a vertical or inclined worm 4, Fig. 4, or by one or more pairs of parallel worms 4, 4', Fig. 6, which may be horizontal or vertical or both, or by one or more pairs of worms 4, 4<1> arranged at right angles, Fig. 7. The worms may operate in an oil bath to facilitate lubrication. Specification 175,234 is referred to.
