Draught springs. - The handle bars of a perambulator &c. are provided with resilient supports in the vertical portions thereof so that the handle will yield both upwardly and downwardly. As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the tubular members 2 which carry the handle 3 telescope within the parts 4 of the undercarriage, downward and upward movement of the members 2 being resisted by compression springs 5 and tension springs 6 respectively. In the modification shown in Fig. 6, one spring 9 is arranged to act in both directions. The spring is mounted between loose washers 14, 15 on a tube 10 fixed in the member 2, upward movement of the washer 14 being limited by a flange 12 on a tube 13 fixed to the part 4, while downward movement of the washer 15 is limited by the upper end of the part 4. When the handle is raised, a cross-pin 16 on the tube 10 engages the washer 15 and compresses the spring, and when pressure is applied to the handle, the end of the member 2 passes downwards inside the fiange 12 and engages the washer 14.
