Respiratory appliances.-A mask comprises a padded rigid frame 1, 3 secured to the head by straps 5, a forward hinged portion 17 carrying a transparent shield 16, an air or oxygen control valve 26, 30, and ear-caps 22. The ear-caps are formed of a reticulated plate, tubular side extensions (not shown), and a hinged reticulated cover 22, the whole enclosing a packing material.
