Abstract

446,810. Respiratory appliances. SOC. ANON. DES GAZ INDUSTRIELS S.O.G.A.Z., 30, Avenue Rittweger, Haren-Nord, Brussels. Dec. 11, 1935, No. 34305. Convention date, Sept. 11. [Class 81 (ii)] Breathing apparatus is so supported by straps on the body that the filter canister and oxygen cylinder are disposed at the sides and the breathing bag at the back of the wearer. As shown, a belt 1 carries pockets 4, 5, carrying the oxygen cylinder 6 and canister 7 respectively and is connected to braces 2, 3, at the crossover of which is supported a four-way union piece 14. The piece 14 is connected by flexible tubes 13, 17, 18 with the cylinder 6, the canister 7, and the inhaling valve 19 of the mask respectively ; the piece also carries the breathing bag 16. A flexible tube 21 connects the exhaling valve 20 of the mask to the other end of the canister 7.
