Abstract

16,698. Booth, W. R. Nov. 26. Kinematograph apparatus.-A compound picture is formed from a moving film and a fixed lantern slide by means of projecting-beams derived from the same source of light. From the lamp L, light passes through the condenser C<1> to the moving film and thence through a projecting system P'. A subsidiary lantern B is adjustable on the side of the main lantern A, so that a condensing-lens C<2> may be positioned opposite the lamp in order to throw a beam on to a condenser C' after reflection in a plane mirror MM placed at 45 degrees. From the last-mentioned condenser, the beam passes through the lantern slide to a projecting system P<2>. Adjustment of the condensing-lens C<2> to and from the lamp is effected by a rack and pinion R, P.
