Abstract
944. Soudet, F. S. Jan. 20. Optical-projection apparatus ; lenses ; three-colour and like systems.-The components of a multiple condenser for use in projecting superposed images of two or more pictures by an equal number of sources of light and objectives are cut away along planes parallel to their optical axes to bring these axes nearer together, and are united along the cut faces. Various combinations of the component condensers are described. As shown in Fig. 14, the components a are cut in one plane only, and the component b is cut in two parallel planes. The sources of light l and the objectives m are displaced from the optical axes of the components a so that the images of the juxtaposed pictures on a plate n are superposed on a screen o.
