10,394. Nasmith, J. W. July 17. Combing - machines. -In a double combing- machine in which the lap is vertically overhead, as, for example, in the machine described in Specification 3871/14, the sliver is passed round and between a number of horizontal members B, B<1>, B<2>, B<3> carried in sidepieces A, so that when the sliver runs out, the end falls successively over the several members and is drawn along without entanglement. The members are each arranged to be farther from the feed-roller than from the member next above.
