Abstract
7314. Buckingham, J. F. May 15. Projectiles.-Relates to projectiles of the kind containing phosphorus, which melts when the projectile is fired and issues therefrom, as described in Specification 1198/15. According to the present invention, a spongy or more or less finely-divided heat-conducting material, such as powdered aluminium, is mixed with the phosphorus to cause it to melt more readily and thereby to issue more quickly from the bullet or the like. The heat-conducting substance may itself be combustible.
