Abstract

126,328. Buckingham, J. F. Dec. 18. 1916. Projectiles.-Relates to incendiary projectiles of the kind in which the inflammable contents are projected during flight from a lateral outlet, normally sealed by a fusible plug, as described in Specification 15956/15. According to the invention, the projectile has a passage or slot such as D in its wall, connecting the base with the lateral outlet F, so that the heat and pressure of the gun gases are conducted directly to the seal G.
